Complete Physical Examination

Before performing any surgical procedure, it is important that the doctor takes a history and performs a complete physical examination of the pet to ensure it is healthy enough to undergo the surgery.

It is important that your pet is fully vaccinated and free of internal parasites (worms) before being admitted to the hospital.

The physical examination includes:

  1. Examination of ears, eyes, nose and throat
  2. Examination of the heart (to determine rate and rhythm) and lungs
  3. Palpation (feeling) of abdomen (internal organs)
